How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My husband died one year ago he left me with five children and no money, I used to sell potatoes green before my kids eat or wear clothes. Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I am satta Fahnbullah from Zohn Lamie town, Bomi County Liberia. I was very excited when I receive cash transfer massage from Givedrectly because, it is the first time in my life to receive such amount of money as gift. I was on my pepper farm one morning harvesting pepper when I hear massage arlet on my phone. I came home later that evening and told my brother that my phone rang while on the farm. He took my phone to find the missed call only to realize that Givedrectly has transfer money to my mobile account. He was so excited and started running. Life been very difficult for me in this village. I didn't have money to send my children to school this semester and also didn't have a good place to sleep. All my life, I been farming just to get food for my family and I. Since Givedrectly send my first cash transfer, I have started business, my children are now in school, and I have renovated my room. Upon receiving my second cash transfer, I will add to my business and start building my house.
