What does receiving this money mean to you?
My plan I have now when I received this money, I want to build my own place. For the past time I have been living in other premises, the last house I was in broke down and we were force to moved to the Commissioner's Compound which was approved by the Commissioner that I should maintain the yard. When I received the money, I will used portion of it to build the house by paying people to get dirt bricks and buy zinc and other house materials. And my balance money, I will invest it into business. Because Givedirectly want us to used the fund wisely.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I woke up and see the day light nothing happened to family, I'm grateful and happy. Also with the present of Givedirectly to my house by collecting my information in order to give cash just to remove me from poverty make me the most happiest person in this village. We have suffered for too long in our relationship. We feel proud with the present of Givedirectly, that what we will receive will ease our burden.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
In our relationship, we have experience hard labor practice. Where there is contract on palm plantation, I will go there and do a daily hire work, just to sustain my family. Sometime, do hard labor work on rubber farm at the end, the owner of the farm will postpone our payment of what I have work for. All these just to feed the family and the balance, we reserved it until now we have stand on our own by selling gas and my wife is now selling rubber dishes just for us to make life.
