How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I decided to build my house because the house that I live is not mine. It is a family house. I am tired of living in this house because it embarrassed me most times whenI received visitors. I want to build a house for myself. Receiving this transfer has really helped me to achieve my goal right. I am going to own a house for myself. I am very pleased with this program.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done so much for me by giving me unconditional cash to build my own house. This is something well that GD has done. I am not aware of anything unwell that GD has done or is doing.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought two bundles of zinc to start the construction of my house. I have been living in my family house for long now. At my age, I am embarrassed at times that I am not able to build a house for myself. So, I am very happy that I have this money to build a house for myself.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When we are qualified to receive this grant, my wife and I have purpose it in mind to use portion of the money to build a house, because the house we are living in presently is a family house, and the remaining portion to start a business which will Improve our living condition.
What is the happiest part of your day?
in the last six months, what brought happiness to me was that when my wife give birth to my son in December 2022
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challenge I am facing is money, because as we are already in raining season the palm I usually cut to produce palm oil, i will no longer be able to do it because the tree is slippery. That is my main source of income.
