How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have never slept in a house that was ironsheets thatched. I had always thought i will never be capable of finding money of my own to build such a house. When GiveDirectly came i knew this was it for me and i used the transfer mostly in building my house

I used my second transfer on 2 bags of Fertiliser, blankets for my family, I also added ironsheets on the ones i had with the first transfer. I saved some of my money to use in the future

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means a new house for me. I will use this money to buy ironsheets and bricks so that I can build a new house. I do not have a good house that is why I have decided to build a house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The thing that makes me happy is when I have managed to make money. I have not been able to make enough money in the past 6 months because I have a lot of loans that I have to pay back when I earn some money.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenge that I am currently facing is lack of money. I face this challenge because I do not have a stable job that can earn me money on a daily basis. I earn close to MK4500 after working for four days. I use this money to buy food and soap. I also use it to buy body lotion as well as buy food. With all the things that I need the money I make is not enough.
