How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The biggest difference in my life is that I have managed to secure land where I have put up my home. I am now staying in my own home in peace I no longer experience any conflicts between me my in laws, I used to before when I could not even do any personal development. I now staying in a nice spacious comfortable home I do not need to worry when it is raining.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion give directly did very well by giving people phones because some of us have never own a phone in their life and this was a privilege to us. It was also a good thing that the money was being sent direct to our phone and not using third party for money to reach us.l am happy and pleased with their system helping the needy. I did not see any thing that Give directly did not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent most of the transfer to buy land where I have put up my home. My parents in law do not have enough land for their children to put up homes, so since I have been longing to have my own home because of so many conflicts I decided to spent the money to buy land by paying the balance which was remaining after using the first transfer. This was like realived to my spouse because he was also a longing to put up a home but he could not managed because of the poverty level. The remaining balance I spent to buy building materials and put up a home in my own compound where I am free to do my developments where is no restrictions and less conflicts with my in laws. I am also now staying in a nice spacious comfortable house which have been longing to have although I could not afford.
