How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving transfer from GiveDirectly, I never had a thought of building my own house because I never had the cash to do so. Presently I am living in my father's house with my family and sharing a little space with other family members had been embarrassing. Therefore since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly I have decided to built a house for my family. However with my recent transfer, I am planning to use some of the money to buy additional two bundles of zinc for the project.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly had done for us the needy more than we could imagined. They have brought so much relieved and joyed that have lighting our communities. Their farsightedness towards the needy is so much remarkable. Their kindness will never go unnoticed by us. We are very fortunate to be part of this program. However, in my view GiveDirectly had not done anything that is not well. Thanks for your care and sacrifices towards us the needy.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
With my desired to built a house for my family, since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, I immediately started buying building materials which includes three bundles of zinc, three packs of zinc nail and some packs of roofing nail. However, with my recent transfer I am planning to use a portion of the money and buy additional two bundles of zinc. Furthermore, I am planning to use a portion of the money to buy a new mattress for myself.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goals is that, I am planning to improve my house by buying house materials like Bed, Mattress, table and floor mats.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my mind GiveDirectly is doing well by sending we the poor people money to help ourselves. In my mind GiveDirectly is not doing well by giving other people phones without sending them money which sometimes make me feel bad because when we receive our money coming home happy they are sad.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy when my phone response with an sms alert telling me that I have getting money from GD that morning; that day was looking like dream to me; i called my children and told them that God had answers my prayers through GD.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life is that; this is the first of it kind for me to get such amount free of charge , i will be able to provide food for I and my children with out doing contract for people.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Getting this money is a plus for me ; i will be able to pay my children school fees, purchase new zinc so that i can be able to build my own house and established new business.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I intend to engage into business when I receive transfer form Givedirectly. Living without a stable and regular income has been my problem and I'll gladly bring an end to that when I get my transfer. By this I will have a long term income that will enable me do what I want.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What brought me joy over the past months has been being able to reconnect with my aging mother after a long while being away from her. It brought me joy when I visited her and saw her so healthy and strong.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My major difficulty in life has been settling down with a spouse. Everytime I try maintaining a relationship, I find out there's something that'll just happen and then I go away from the person. This I have struggled with and I hope to overcome soon.
