How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If I could not have received money from give directly I could still be staying in a very small house since I could not have managed to build a spacious house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion give directly did very well by sending money into two installment this was good for security reasons, one can not lose the whole of the two transfers.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
The whole transfer stolen by a fraudster.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means my son's dream of becoming a teacher is real. I am going to pay his school fees so that he can get his Kenya certificate of Secondary education.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when talking to my children about their experiences in school.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life was lack capital to invest in sugar cane farming. I have to work for my neighbors who pay me very little money that can not cater for my family's needs like food and education. If I could be doing farming my life would have been better.
