Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I am planning to see my business advance to the next level. This way my income will increase.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference is that I was able to acquire a cow. This has been my source of income in that I am able to milk the cow and sell the milk to earn an income. This has improved my living standards.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I believe I will be living a great life where I will no longer have to borrow loans and my family will have an improved living standard.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving the transfer is the motor cycle that I bought using GD transfer which has given me a better daily income. I am currently able to provide for my family. I currently do my own work at my own pleasure unlike before when I was a casual worker hence used to struggle harder to meet my family needs and my employers expectation.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months I expect my life to have changed in that I will have bought a new motorcycle hence will be earning a better income.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different from how it would have been if I had not received the transfer in that I see am growing financially and will be able to provide for my family. With the help of GD I see will be able in future to have invested in livestock keeping and also will be self employed hence earning better income.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
The new goal that I have developed since I received the transfer that I didn't have before is to buy a cow.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I was raised up in a very humble background. Growing up was a very difficult experience for me. My parents could barely afford to pay even our primary activity fee. I was really thirsty for knowledge and felt the urge to continue with my studies. I struggled through my primary school and all I have to show is this primary certificate. I am determined however, to make a difference in the lives of my children. I do not want them to go through what I went through.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning. This is the time when I can have breakfast with all my family members and have a light moment with them. It is a new day as well with an exciting opportunity to strive to make a difference in my life.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to use part of my transfer in buying a dairy cow that will help my young family to have a source of income and stay healthy. I also have plans of purchasing a solar powered battery to help with the lighting system in our home. I will use the remaining amount in purchasing seats for the household.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My life was really difficult at first until my sister came to my rescue. My sister works with a loan lending organisation and she was moved by the toils and tribulations that I was going through in my life. Knowing that I had interest in bodaboda industry, she persuaded me into buying a bodaboda on loan. This bodaboda changed my life a lot. I struggled to pay back the loan in two years and my life has never been the same again. I consider this a great achievement but I equally have plans of purchasing another bodaboda.
