How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is different from how it was in that I eat a well-balanced diet unlike before where I could rely on the vegetables that were in my farm due to lack of money to buy a different meal. I am also able to take care of emergencies easily. Recently I got an accident and I was able to take care of the medical bills without taking loans. I can only thank GiveDirectly for financial support.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to invest in large-scale farming. I want to hire land for this purpose. From my research, tomatoes, onion, and vegetables are normally on demand and so, having them as my main crops will give me an upper hand because few people have invested in them.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Depending on farming and selling charcoal was difficult because the income was little. Due to weather patterns and climate change I could get less produce. Eating a well-balanced diet was not possible because I had various needs that I had to attend to. Now that I am able to eat a good balanced diet using the monthly transfer, this is the biggest difference that I have experienced in my daily life so far.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the next six months is to be a proud larger-scale farmer. I want to invest in planting onions, tomatoes, and vegetables. The market is readily available and I know that my living standards will definitely change from there sales which will enable me to meet my goals.
