What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used the cash transfer to get my sons certificate that was withheld by his secondary school institution because I had not cleared paying his school fees. I also used part of the cash to finish the construction process of my house that I had begun months earlier.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy building material such as 25 pieces of iron sheets,buildings poles,roofing timber and 15 Kg of building nails that I will use to build a house, I also bought food for my family and pay school fees for my children.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that hopefully I am going to build a new house.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy two plastic chairs that I took to my local church to give thanks to God for sending GiveDirectly to poor people like me. I also bought ten tins of corn for my family consumption and the remaining I used as travel expenses for my son who had eloped to the neighbouring country ,Uganda.I am happy and thank GiveDirectly because I found him and brought him back,he is now home with me.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer,I was so happy. I dropped a tear when I thought of my son who had eloped from home. I immediately planned to travel to Uganda to look for him.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship in life is that, my current house is in deplorable state.The roof is leaking and the walls are falling off because of the rains. Some nights l have to spend in my mother in law's house because my floor is flooded.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the afternoon when chatting with my friends after a day's work.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means change in my social status.I am normally despised in our village baraza because am among the poorest.My opinion is not considered in any decision making.
