What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent part of my third transfer on paying tithe 5000 KES. I partly completed the construction of the my permanent house which I had started building with the second transfer and my savings , what has remained is just plastering it.Living in a permanent house has just been a dream to me since due to lack of money and staying in a small squeezed mud house was the only possibility. What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on paying tithe in church, bought uniforms for my grandchildren and a bag of maize to sustain the family. I also paid fees for my gransdchildren and used most of the transfer on purchasing a mattress since I had an old one.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer I was very happy. I just overheard a neighbor saying that the money had already been sent and upon checking my phone, I could not believe that GiveDirectly had sent it.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship in my life is taking my son to the college for higher education. I also have problem getting safe water since we fetch water from very far.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when we are taking supper as a family after a hard day's work.

Receiving this money means that my life will change since I will build a new house that can accommodate us all.
