Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months I have a new goal to improve my farming. There has been a lot of rains in the past three months and practicing farming has really been hard. With the information we have been getting from the meteorological department, we expect to see the rain subside in the next few months and this will give us a chance to be fully back into farming again.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the health status I am in now. I was really sick when I was being enrolled and I never had any coin in my pocket to enable me seek some medication. I was grateful when I first received the transfer and the first thing was to get to the hospital. I am now well and I am grateful to GiveDirectly for the difference in my life.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months I expect our farming to have picked. I am planning to start with maize plantation since the produce with act both as foodstuff and also for commercial purposes.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving the transfer is the farming that I have been boosted to do it once more. Since I became sick, I have not been able to do a lot in my farm this has brought low income hence making my life hard but since the transfers came in I am happy to see this good things happening.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months I expect my life to be better than to day in that I will having more food for my family and more income for my household usage.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life currently, different from how it would have been if I had not received the transfer in that I feel empowered and assisted to meet my family basic needs. I lost my husband the person my family has been relying on and all over sudden I felt sick. This made me use all the resource I had or get in my medication leaving other basic needs with none or little money to use. The transfer that I got gave a lot of support with the immediate expenses I had and even enable me do better farming which will in turn gives us food and even income. I happy and I see better life in future.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
The new goal that I have gotten since I received the first transfer is to do more farming and to maintain medication.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I was diagnosed with hepatitis four years ago and this has been a great obstacle in delivering my normal household chores. It has affected my lower limbs and I cannot stand or walk. This has been the greatest hardship I've faced in my life.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Morning is the happiest part of my day especially when I wake up feeling better. With my terminal illness pain has been the order of the day and seeing a day is just but a blessing.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Am planning to spend my transfer on farming business. I engage in beans and maize farming and GD money will be a great boost in its improvement. I will now engage more on onions farming. With that I'll get more returns and my household will get better care in terms of health and education.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
Engaging in business farming is an achievement am proudest of in my life. This is where I get upkeep for my family. Besides, I do sell beans and maize to schools and this has enabled my children to get school fee. I have 5 kids,two of them are in secondary school while the rest are in primary.
