How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am Momoh freeman from Gomai town, Bomi County Liberia. Before receiving my third cash transfer I planned to save the money on my mobile account in order to wait for my last cash transfer to buy a new Mortor bike for business purpose.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly usually transfer money to my mobile account monthly according to schedule given me. Their staffs don't accept gifts from anyone and they are very good at talking with people. I am not aware of anything that Givedirectly didn't do well in this village. Many thanks and appreciation to Givedirectly for helping me greatly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I am presently waiting to receive my last cash transfer to add to my third cash transfer before cashing out to buy my bike.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to build my own house, I have been living in my father's house from childhood until now I am 37 years old. I have three children that need to inherit something from me as well, that is why I want to build my own house. To make this happen, I am waiting for my remaining two transfers from GiveDirectly so that I can buy a motorcycle and run it as a business, by that, I can generate more money for my house project and other family expenses.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well by being helpful to us in the area of counseling, they are also kind and patient with recipients during interviews, their processes are also straight and fair to me, I haven't seen anything that GiveDirectly is not doing well, everything is okay with me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to pay a dept that I was owing because of the motorcycle that I was running. I have been riding the motorcycle for "work and pay" which is another way of credit in this town but unfortunately the motorcycle got damaged in an accident that I was involved into. I had no choice but to give the motorcycle owner the money that we agreed upon .

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am successful to receive this money from GD, I will build my own house because the house I am in now is my farther house. And if some stay with me after building my house, I will support my children in school with the balance left. More to that, I will put it into business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
From January to March, I was really happy almost everyday; because traffic was actually active. Everyday between the time mentioned, I always make in enough money to buy food and pay my children school fees and also gave daily report money to the bike owner.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challenge for me here is to find passengers as a bike rider. Now, there is no good traffic going on. Besides the bike too, I sometimes make cassava farm to sell. But now there is no good price for cassava . As we speak I got cassava on my farm. But I am worried that if I dig it now to sell, I will not realise money to buy food and send my children to school when i take it to the Market.
