What does receiving this money mean to you?
I think I am very lucky to be in this program by GiveDirectly. As an old person it is very difficult for me to work and earn money. This money will help me to buy food for my household. It means my grandchildren will not go hungry once I receive the money.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when I have food and money. Right now I am very happy because I know that once I receive the money I will be able to rest and drink some tea.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face is lack of assistace in general because I am very old and I have no one to depend on I have to work in my farm on my own. This makes my body weak sometimes and that leads to low harvests since I cannot put enough effort in my maize farm.
