Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My next goal is to invest in farming preferably short term crops like potatoes and vegetables. I chose to plant these crops so I would be able to get quick cash since they mature within a very short time. This would mean that I would be able to meet my daily expenditure without doing casual jobs. I am hopeful that once I succeed this season, my life will never be the same again. I intend to spend part of my next transfer to purchase some farm inputs and hope will have a good return on it.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily is that I no longer struggle to meet my daily expenditure. I got a large family and this means that I should work extra to provide for the family. Before, it was not easy to meet their needs as I would depend mostly on casual jobs. Now, I am happy that I do not have to go for casual jobs more often as part of my transfer is enough to cater to my basic needs. I can't explain the peace and calmness that has come as a result of this, may God bless this organization so that they continue blessing other people too.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I am planning to purchase materials for raising tea seedlings with part of my transfers. This would enable me to manage the seedlings in the most appropriate way hence guaranteeing me the best quality tea plantations comes next year. I will then transplant the seedlings on a piece of land which I have already set aside for it. To me, this will be a long term investment in that when it matures it would earn me income through the sale of fresh green leaves every month.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different in that I have more peace of mind because of the money that I have consistently received from GiveDirectly. This money, however little they may seem, have assisted me a lot in meeting some of the most basic needs of my family. I have been able to pay my children's school fees in time and at the same time afford to meet the cost of the basic household needs of my family. Nothing is as fulfilling as being able to provide for my own children especially now that I am a single mother.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional plans for the next four months is to be able to hire more land and put it under cultivation. I plan to use the monthly transfers to be able to hire the land and put it under cultivation in the next four months.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to pay school fees for my children in time. I used to find it hard to pay their school in time and balance between providing their basic needs and paying their school fees. I have also been able to improve my farming by buying hybrid seeds and applying fertilizers which has led to increased crop production which has consequently brought more income to our household.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in that I will have more income from the investments that I am currently making from GiveDirectly transfers. By this time, I expect one of my children to have joined secondary school and therefore I have to save more money to be able to pay their school fee in time. I have always had this desire to give my children a chance to have a good education and I grab every opportunity that comes my way that will help me give them the best.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago since I am now happy unlike before when I used to feel sad seeing my children unhappy because of not having new friends in their new school. This always made me think that I have failed as a parent whenever my children informed me that they are not able to make new friends at school because other pupils are avoiding them as they did not have school uniforms. Since I was able to acquire new school uniforms for my children using my transfers, my children are now happy as they have been able to make new friends at school. This has made me be a happy parent and my heart is always gladdened by this.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to plant maize on my farm which I bought recently. Buying maize has been our daily routine and it is expensive since no one at home has a stable source of income. Planting them will help my family not to buy maize flour next year. I am also planning to join merry go round group as a way of saving. I will then use my accumulated savings the time I will be given to buy a calf.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that my children now have new school uniforms unlike when they used to wear school uniforms from their former school. This always made them be isolated from others since they were the only odd ones. Due to this, they could at times refuse to attend school claiming that they had no friends there. I am now glad that this has changed and my children are always anxious to go to school since they no longer feel like they are isolated from their fellow students.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have bought a cow using the money I will be given from merry go round group. With this, I will be assured that my family will not be buying milk on a daily basis after some few years. My maize will also be doing well on my farm and this will always gladden my heart.
