Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to buy a cow. this is the kind of investment whose value increases on a daily basis and when it reproduces, I will get milk both for my family consumption and for sale for an extra income. Whenever I have any financial difficulty, I can sell it as well to raise money for my needs.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I had been planning for building my own a new house in my own home for a year before the transfers. It was still a plan because I did not have the resources to build the house as I would have wanted. I started a small savings account in a bid to fulfil the plan but due to many family financial demands, I ended up using the savings on other needs. I did not know a better way to raise funds for buying building materials until I started receiving my transfers from GD. With the transfers, I was able to use my last transfers to buy building materials such as iron sheets and nails which I have now used in building a new house as I had planned. I honestly don't know if I would have managed to build the house without GD transfers.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I know I will have bought the cow. GD has really eased my financial burdens through the transfers. I used the first transfer on paying back the debts I had and also to keep up with paying school fees for my children. I also used the second transfer on buying farm input such as fertilizer and hybrid seed which has increased my harvest from 3 sacks to 8 sacks. Whenever I have a financial crisis, I can sell part of my harvest to solve the issue and as a result of these, I know the small income I get from my casual work and other sources such as farming, I know I will be having a cow in the next six months.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life is that I have the best utensils ever, now when I have visitors I can serve them with it. This has brought me happiness as the utensils I had before had cracks and wasn't good at all.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months I expect to have bought a water tank for storing harvested water for future use.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Currently having dug a latrine pit in my compound I believe that this shall enable us live better in our home as we currently share with a neighbor.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
My new goal is to complete building a latrine which I recently dug.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship in my life is lack of school fees, when I was in secondary school I lacked school fees. I sometimes had to miss exams which really affected my academic performance, I didn't achieve my goals
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I wake up happy and having great plans to achieve my targets
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to use my transfer to buy water tank costing ksh 30000 and use the remaining amount to pay school fees for my children

The achievement I'm proudest of is buying a piece of land which I am now planning to build my house soon
