How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goals have not changed in the course of this programme. I have always wanted to have a house with iron sheets and also a descent sleeping place but i could not afford them due to financial incapabilities. When GD enrolled me in this programme i was so happy.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
There is nothing wrong with the way GiveDirectly works. It is one of the best organization that empowers people with the money they give out. Giving me an opportunity to do what i want with the money. Quiet empowering!
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my transfer to improve my house. I bought cement so that i can improve the walls of my home. I also bought Matress so that i finally sleep on a good place and also bought four bags of maize to use for food.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money is a great opportunity for me to finally have a better house. My house is grass thatched and it leaks during rainy season. I want to use the money to buy iron sheets so that i should get done with leaking house and also my house to have a better look.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day should be in the morning because i feel greatful to wake up alive after sleeping all the night. Not everyone has the chance to wake up alive and for this reason i am always happy in the morning
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced in my life is inadequate food for my family. We face hunger every year because we do not harvest much as we can no afford fertilizer because it is expensive. Some of the days we only eat once and i believe i can use part of the money to buy some maize so that i can have enough food
