Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that I have taken my child back to school in time. Secondly, I recovered my farm land after paying off the debt. I have also acquired a solar panel that lights our home at night. I was completely helpless before receiving money, I did not have any thing to sell in order to get money.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt too much happiness in my heart when I received the money because GiveDirectly came to help me come out of poverty. I bought food that we ate that day as we celebrated.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I used UGX 700,000 of my first transfer for paying my child's school fees. I paid a debt of UGx 550,000. I bought a solar at UGX 140,000, The balance of the money was spent on purchase of food, clothes, 2 pairs of bed sheets and curtains.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will buy a cow for milk production and also oxen for ploughing. If their is any balance of money left, I will hire a garden for crop cultivation. We have a shortage of gardens for farming and we cannot engage in commercial farming.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is lunch time. This is the time that my children return from school and they rush to greet me and share what they learnt from school.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship Iam currently facing is lack of money to educate my children. If my children get proper education, then they will get good employment opportunities.
