What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second transfer, I used most of it to buy 30 iron sheets in readiness for construction of my new house when I receive my third transfer. I then used 25000 KES to buy 2 cows which I am rearing in my home. The balance was spent on buying a cupboard.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I nolonger get ridiculed by my peers in the village for lack of cows, as ownership of cows draws with it a lot of respect.

I spent my first transfer to start a business of selling slippers. This makes me get more income and enables me sustain my family. I also bought food and clothes for my children. I am happy and grateful to GiveDirectly.

The moment I received the transfer,I was so happy. I have never had such kind of an amount before at any one time in my life.

The biggest hardship we are currently facing is low income that can not sustain ourselves.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the evening when my husband is back from his daily work and he has brought us food that we all share as a family.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money makes me feel happy because I will be able to do much of my needs that I wasn't able to do before.
