How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If i had never recieved the transfer, I would still be struggling in life. Thanks to Give Directly, I am now self employed.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, givedirectly has done well by financially helping me. I was able to start my saloon business. Hence an income generating activity. However, in my opinion, givedirectly has done nothing wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent all my second transfer to expand my saloon business that I had started operating using the first transfer.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I am now self employed and this has enabled me to be my own boss than as before, working for others I now determine my own pay.

The moment I received my money, I felt happy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to start up a saloon at 1,400,000 ugx in Moroto where I stay as means of self employment. Since I was doing the same work in Moroto, I decided to start my own other than working for other people and getting little pay. I then used the balance help my wife in the village - Kalapata to buy some house hold items.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i am faced with is inadequacy of farm land. I am not able to farm as much as i would want.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in afternoon when i move to the centre and meet friends.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means i Will be able to buy a piece of land for farming.
