How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have a new home which I never had before. I bought a plot of land which I didn't have before. Am so grateful to GD.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
All that GD does is good. They have helped me and am now a respected man because I have a new good looking home. GD has nothing bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I bought 1000 bricks at 140,000Ugsh, 6 bags of cement at 180,000Ugsh, sand at 25,000Ugsh, I spent 100,000Ugsh on feeding. I paid for labour at 270,000Ugsh, I also bought 2 iron sheets at 46,000Ugsh and timber at 110,000Ugsh. I also bought 2 doors at 600,000Ugsh and paint of 70,000Ugsh. The balance of 91,000Ugsh I bought household items.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I am now counted among the rich people in my village. I feel I am also important to my family members because I can now meet most of the household requirement. Generally, I am happy. Thank you Give Directly.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt pleased, glad and blessed. It was a good moment for me for sure. I have never been happy in life like that moment when I saw a transfer on my phone account.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I still have my money but I have a plan of renovating my main house because it has been in a poor state. I also plan to start a barber's saloon for my daily earning. some money to my family to survive on.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money is a great opportunity for me to improve my house by buying house hold items like chairs and plastering my house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening because this is the time I go to the trading center where people converge after work and share news of what is happening.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my is not having a daily income making me poor and that is the reason my spouse left because I could not provide every thing she wanted.
