How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
my life is different than it would have been in that my house makes me happy because it now looks good, i comfortably stay in it and i do not worry about it collapsing during the rain season
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give directly does well in helping us out of extreme poverty by empowering us through giving us money which other government programmes have never done. so for there is nothing that GD does not do well

I spent my second transfer on buying 6 bags of cement at 168000, i bought for my husband a phone at 100,000shs, i also bought woofers at 130,000shs, i bought chairs at 120,000shs, i also bought doors at 300,000, i spent 180,000shs on buying a solar battery, i bought clothes at 175,000shs, i bought a sauce pan at 10,000shs , also bought cups at 12000shs, i spent 10,000shs on buying plates, i bought myself a hand bag at 50,000shs and insecticides at 10,000shs, the rest i still have it

our family is very happy and more connected than before because we are now stress free.

When I received my money, I was very happy than I can imagine.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I bought three trips of sand at 210,000/=, 15 bags of cement at 420,000/=, a bed and a mattress at 200,000/= and 190,000/= respectively and we invested 150,000/= in the business, 30 kg of beans at 69,000/= and the remaining balance is to pay off the constructors.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced comes from the person who rant us land for cultivation and is ever scaring to kill my husband, every day and night I am not settled thinking that one time my husband will loose his life.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when my husband earns money from his job and we get a chance to buy good food and clothes.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money to me means that I will be able to renovate my house, building rentals and buying livestock to help my family and incresing on the standards of living.
