How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The house that I live in currently has become very small and uncomfortable due to the recent increase in my family size. Therefore, when I received my recent transfer from GiveDirectly, I bought 3 bundles of zinc to roof my house. Additionally, my balance transfer was used to compensate workers. I am grateful to GiveDirectly for this golden opportunity that has helped changed my life.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
First and foremost, I see GiveDirectly as an integrity NGO that treats everyone equally and fairly. GD has been doing exceptionally well with the entire program. My life and the lives of many others has been transformed due to GiveDirectly's financial assistance.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Due to my large family size and limited space that has led to the lack of comfort I have been faced with at home, I have decided to build a bigger house for my family and I. Therefore, I bought 3 bundles of zinc for $33,200LD. The remaining portion of my transfer was used to pay contractors working on my house. A big thanks to the entire team at GD for helping transform my life.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal is to build my own house. The house I am currently in is a family house. My husband did not have the financial strength to build our house because what we earned from the farm could not allowed us to have our own house. I am so grateful to GiveDirectly for providing this amount of money for my household. My plan now is to start the erection of my house. My children are growing and they will need a house that they will not feel embarrassed living in.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well in making sure that every eligible households receive their full payments. GiveDirectly is not bias in it workings especially during enrollment. The field workers make sure to visit every house to determine eligible households. As for what it does not do well, nothing have I seen wrong.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Through the transfers I was able to buy zinc, nails, cement, and planks. I was also able to pay the builder who is going to build my house. My family and I are very happy that the materials to use in building the house are all available. It would have taken me another decades to have my own house if GiveDirectly had not come my way. I pray that God continues to shower his blessings on GiveDirectly.
