How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I don't having new goals before receiving this transfer ; i had decided to start my personal business , with this business i can now stand financially to do others things with money.

Give Directly do extremely well by giving me direct cash transfer; i been living in this town thinking how will my business dream come to pass. I don't know anything that GD did that is not well.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My newest gold is to invest in gold mining activity. I have vast idea on gold mining and our community is rich in gold and I'm a gold boy (gold mine worker) who always working at the gold mine. At the gold mine, we face the challenge of water pump machine mostly during the rainy season. Meanwhile, I'm investing in the gold mining sector by purchasing a water pump machine which will generate more money for other future investments.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Upliftment of the poor is what GD doing well in and I'm not aware of any thing else that needs improvement.

I was able to purchase a water pump which will be used at gold mining area. This investment will be long lasting and will generate more income for me and my family.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I got the message that I have received money from GiveDirectly, I was extremely happy. I have seven children and a wife to care for. We live in a house that has little space. It is my plan to build a new house that will have much space for the size of my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference is that I have money now to build a house. Building a new and a bigger house has been my biggest plan, because I have many children and a wife. Our house presently is too small to continuously hosting us. Fulfilling this plan was very challenging due to no money. Now, I am happy that I have received this payment from GiveDirectly which will enable me to fulfil my plan of building a bigger house for my family and I.

I will spend my most recent transfer on building a house that will have enough space to accommodate my family. I live with my wife and seven children. Our house is too small to continuously accommodating us. It is made of thatch roof that leaks everytime rain falls. And I am tire of living like this. I need a comfortable house with lot of space. So, I am going to spend my recent transfer on buying zinc to began the construction of a new house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am a farmer but the farmers is not really producing these days to meet the needs if my family. Therefore, I will invest some of the money into businesses and use part of it to pay my children school fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Looking at my current living condition, I was very happy when I saw Give Directly coming in the community to help us.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
As I told you earlier, the farm is no longer producing like before. I am financially challenge when it comes to supporting the family.
