Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was cleaning up my house when I heard people shouting in the town saying Givedirectly money has arrived. I immediately called my brother to have mine checked at the network area and it was confirmed that I received 40375LD. Instant joy took over me because I was left behind the first time. I danced with all my might and couldn't stop singing praises to God and Givedirectly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
There has been so much change in my daily life. Before my family can eat, I will have to go in the bush and cut palms to sell. This was very difficult for me because the suffering attached to this process was too much. I do not have to do all that work anymore because I have money to solve some of my problems. My house wasn't having door, I will have doors soon after sawing my planks. My husband was also sick but there was no money to take him to hospital, that has been solved because his bills will be paid. All this have brought me joy and happiness. I now have smile on my face everyday unlike before. These are the wonderful changes Givedirectly has made in my life and I am grateful.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have saved part of my transfer to pay my husband's hospital bill in Pleebo. The rest of my transfer will be used on sawing planks to make furniture for my house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If i receive the cash I plan to buy some fertiliser and pesticide for my cocoa plantation to help it produce more cocoa and buy more cocoa corls to complete the one acer I decided to plant coaco on. The lack of these chemical has affected my cocoa farmvand it has not been able to produce more for the past 3 years and due to lack of money we have not been able to produce quite a 25kg bag.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months what has brought happiness to me is this September when i recover from a very serious illness I surfer from for two months. I was happy because my husband and children were going through alot to help me survive; sometime they will have to go whole day with out eating and save the little money they race for my treatment.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenges we are currently facing is financial constrain; our only source of income is the subsistence farming and the cocoa plantation we have try ptoducing over the past year. The cocoa should have been our main source of income but due to the lack of chemical we have not ben able to produce more and the subsistence farming is not enough to take some to the market.
