Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to buy sheep and add more chicken. I believe that when this transfers will come to an end I would have another source of income that will enable me to meet my family needs and also pay school fees for my child. If the business does well, I will permanently stop doing casual jobs and focus on growing my poultry business. I feel good I will no longer be doing the tedious casual jobs any more
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference is that now I managed to clear school fees on time. This means that come next year I would have no arrears. This is something which had never happened before Give Directly came to my life. As a result, I have no worries anymore I have had time to concentrate on farming and now have some onions which are almost ready for harvesting.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I believe that in the next six months I would be ripping good income through my poultry business. I hope that I will have further expanded my business and bought more birds. The more the business grows the more I will become financially stable and I won't be bothered anymore with paying school fees or meeting my other daily responsibilities

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
In comparing my current life and my life in the past four months, I find the current one being way too better. A lot of differences have come my way and I am glad to say that am happy about everything that GiveDirectly has done in my life. Over the last four months, I have been able to lease a piece of land which is under cultivation at the moment, I have purchased a heifer, completed paying of school fees, and also clothed my children. All these have been possible due to the support I am getting from GiveDirectly.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
For almost three months now, my chickens have been sleeping in the kitchen since I have never constructed them a house. Their number is now growing and in counting, I have around 15 mature chickens plus several chicks. I now have a new goal to construct them a new chicken coop so that they will be staying and laying there. I am planning to obtain a chain link mesh which I will use in building a circumference fence around the coop so that when I let them out they will always rest isnside the fenced circumference.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Saving money in the past four months was really hard. This is because the little money I was getting from my daily chores was not enough to sustain my family and to be left with some to save. I would always find myself running out of money since the requirements in our household were also many. We had to buy everything right from vegetables, sugar, maize flour, just to mention but a few. This situation got better when I started receiving the transfers from GiveDirectly. I now can save an appreciable amount. The savings that I have been making over time have brought many differences in my daily life and the biggest of all is that they have enabled me to purchase a heifer. This has added to our herd making my cows be two now after the first one which I bought some five years ago. Feeding them is the major work I have currently as one is almost calving down which means we will soon be enjoying a sufficient milk supply.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Although I have a plan to construct a chicken coop in our household, I also have another priority project which might come first before the construction. I have a plan to purchase more goats to add up to the ones I already have. This is in line with the upcoming payment of more school fees as my child is approaching to join the secondary level of education. I will, later on, sell them to generate some income which will be useful in school fees payment. This project is destined to be complete in the next six months and after that, I will resume to the construction of a chicken coop to ensure that my chickens find a good place to stay during both day and night.

I don't have an additional goal in the next four months because I have to continue saving in my merry go round group.

I am currently doing a better farming which would not have been possible without the GD transfers. At least I can buy certified seeds and also pay school fees for my child with an ease.
