How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has greatly changed in that I am now living a health and stress free life. This is because I managed to get money that I used to educate my orphaned grandchildren, buy a cow for my investment, get back my land and now, I will be plastering my house. Before getting this money, I would always be full of thoughts of where I could get money to help my orphaned grandchildren as they all looked up to me to continue financing their education.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well by pulling me out the biting poverty that I thought I would not come out of. For example, being able to educate my orphaned grandchildren, and get back my land that had taken almost forever to be got back. On the other hand, there is nothing wrong that GiveDirectly has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy a cow. I then use part of my transfer to pay up my orphaned grandchildren fees. I then got back my land that had been given out by my father in law. I also bought a matress and bedsheets. I am saving up some that I plan to use for plastering my house.
