Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference is that I was able to access surgery and medical attention for my grand child who was sick. The cash transfer was my saviour at that moment. I am very glad that I received this cash transfer because I had no other means of taking care of the orphans.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I heard a mobile money message then I called one of my children who read it for me. At first I was scared because I had never received such an enormous amount of money. I had to compose myself because this was unheard of.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I bought a mattress worth UGX 150000 , a sauce pan worth UGX 40000. I spent UGX 400000 on medical bills. I spent UGX 80000 on school fees. I spent the balance on purchasing food and other necessities.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to build a house that my children will sleep in. I have many grand children but accommodation has always been a problem. My current house is to small to accommodate us. It is even worse when I receive visitors.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I have eatten food. I feel satisfied.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is lack of money to take care of the needs of my children. Paying school fees and providing all other needs for them is my responsibility. My husband with whom I used to support the family together passed on and now I am left alone.
