What did you spend your third transfer on?
Initially, I lived in a more squeezed house. It was too tiny to enable us live more comfortably and this was very daunting and therefore when I received my third transfer, I built a semi-permanent house of 40 iron sheets. Currently, I live more comfortably and I am happy.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received transfers in that I live a more comfortable kind of life. My current house is a permanent one-more robust and leak-free.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I am glad that all the poorest who lived in my village got help. It was enough for everyone and I am proud of Give Directly but they could have considered everyone in the village as opposed to the poorest only.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spend my second transfer on buying building materials ( sand,bricks,ballast and murram) in preparation for building with the third transfer.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is having reduced the burden of building since have already bought most of the required materials.I am now certain of actualizing the building plan and moving from an old house.Thanks to GD.

With my first transfer I bought sand worth 4000 KES, a matress worth 4500 KES, a bed sheet worth 200 KES, utencils worth 1000 KES and the remaining 300 KES I used in the house

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on sand, cement and labour to plaster the walls and and floor of my house. I am also planning to spend my transfer on food and other necessities for my family.

The achievement I am proudest is my small business of selling fish.

The biggest hardship I am facing in my life is lack of money to meet my family's everyday needs.

The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I am serving breakfast to my younger children and getting them ready for school.
