How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The greatest change in my life is majorly happiness because I have been able to start the construction of my house even though it is not complete. The remaining part of the house is solely going to be my responsibility and thank Give Directly for laying the foundation to my journey of the house construction.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly did well to give us these transfer and mostly through the women because husbands could have used it on drinking only. For example my spouse can not plan well on how to spend money and if he was enrolled I would not have constructed a house. Give Directly did well to give us chance to decide who to be enrolled and most community members agreed to enroll women which was a good thing. However, I requested GD to enroll my daughter who finished a certificate course but she wasn't enrolled into the program. Give Directly also listened to rumors from the village hence leaving out some people from the program.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer to construct a house. I have so far used ugx 1333000 and I have a balance of ugx 300000 that I'm still using for the house construction.
