How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I currently have two businesses which I managed to set up, courtesy of the transfers. These businesses have boosted my financial capabilities, moving from my previous state of depending on my mother to being able to support her. I used to depend on domestic casual jobs that did not earn me much and were mostly unavailable which was why I still had to depend on my mother financially. I am happy that I am now able to cater to my needs on my own and even assist my mother with the household bills.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life?
Through my group, I learnt how to make mats but could not start a business on it because I was unable to raise the materials to make them due to my low income then. After I started receiving the transfers, I was able to purchase all the requirements and ventured into the mats business. I have also managed to start another business on second-hand clothes selling through the transfers. With my businesses running smoothly at the moment, I have no extra plans other than to ensure that I always have sufficient stock and make more savings each day. I want the project to end when I am completely financially stable and able to support my family.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I saved most of the money I received in my bank account as I mostly do whenever I receive my transfers to avoid extravagant expenditures because I feel that I have extra money. I used part of it to buy my child a new dress as her Christmas gift then spent the rest on foodstuff and other household requirements.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The biggest difference in my life as a result of the transfers is that I am independent financially. I no longer have to depend on my mother to bail me out anytime I ran out money or in dire need of finances. She has always supported me anytime the business is not doing well and I feel with these transfers, I am doing well financially. It is time I also start being there for her as she has always been there for me. I thank GD because I do not run to my mother for help anymore. I have my own savings which I can use when I am in financial difficulty.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life?
Currently, my only goal is to continue saving for the business. I am on the right track and my goal is to have a stable business. I know through the business I will be able to earn a good income from the profits. As a result, I will be able to provide for my family well from the enhanced profits.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my transfer on savings which I have been doing on a monthly basis. I plan to use my savings to start a well-established business than the one I am doing now. Currently, I do shoe business which I hawk on the streets but my goal is to start a business with a specific place/premise. I know through GD transfers, I will be able to achieve this goal. The rest of the transfer I used to boost my business by buying more stock so as to increase on my stock which will increase my income. This will also help me in savings to reach my goal faster.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Last year, I took a course on mat-making as a way of earning extra income, especially on those days that I had no job and stayed idle at home. Starting off this business was a challenge before GD came because I could not afford to buy the materials which are quite costly. These transfers have made it possible to start off this project and I am now able to earn extra money through the sales of the mats that I make. I now have more money to support my family and buy my basic needs even on those days that I don't come across any usual jobs.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life?
I have plans of buying a motorcycle which I will hire out for transport business. A motorcycle is quite expensive and I never ever thought I would be able to buy one, but these transfers have given me the chance to do so through proper savings. I also have an opportunity to take a loan and buy the motorcycle because I know I will manage to clear it through the monthly transfers. Motorcycle business is quite a lucrative one in this area since most people have not ventured into it because of the actual cost of purchase which is why I am thinking towards it.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When I started receiving these transfers, I made a decision to be saving a bit each month for future plans and I am glad that I have been true to my wishes so far. I saved part of the money I received this month in a fixed bank account as I have been doing since I started receiving the money, used some of it to buy materials for my mat making business and spent the remaining amount on foodstuff and other household needs.

What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
I want to start a business of making and selling shaggy mats. Its a skill that does not require much training, its something that i can observe and do by myself, and i have confidence in my skills. I am confident i can generate some good profit from it. Secondly, i do hairdressing casually, and i would like to perfect my skills, thus i would buy some braids and train myself more on how to braid hair. Lastly i would want to assist my mother in paying for my brothers school fee, just as a booster. I currently live with her together will my child, and she has been of great support to us,thus i would want to help her in any way i can.
Describe your biggest worry.
My top is concern is meeting my daily needs, because i would not want to lack food and sleep hungry or lack clothes to where. For me to even work well i would need to have food. Thus meeting my daily needs is a top priority
What are your greatest ambitions?
I would want to reach a place that i have employed myself and running my own business, and to be able to create jobs for others.
Describe your usual day. How do you spend your time?
I wake up prepare myself and child for the day. I drop my child off at pre-school, then if i have a job on call i go do it,but when i do not have work for the day i go back home and i do some house chores. In my free time i spend it training myself on how to make mats, i watch movies or take my child to City park for walks.
