How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
We hope to have a decent house that's good looking so that our wishes and heart desires are fulfilled. Additionally, we'd like to purchase 3 goats to breed and multiply and maybe be selling them in future as the program is phasing out.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
We are eternally grateful for this organisation and we see nothing wrong in it's undertakings. We wish it nothing but the very best.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
As a household we are in the process of renovating our current house structure for comfort living. Having received this recent transfer, we went on to buy 6 bags of cement for interior plastering and floor. Then we used some of it to pay for the labourers. This whole project costed us $250. We have used the remainder of that money to buy other household items such as buckets and other kitchen utensils.

What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
After getting this money, i will invest it in irrigation agriculture. I would like to buy a water pump so that I farm off season with irrigation since the normal rain only destroy our crop. This has been my dream I just didn't have the money to realize it with.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I was sick some months ago and could have died but I'm thankful to God that he healed me and I'm strong again.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest challenge in my household is food. The rains start late and stop early after destroying our field and washing away the crop since its by the river. This leaves us food insecure and in need. This leaves us looking for casual work and that's how we are on a hand to mouth basis. At times a whole week can pass without any work so that pits pressure on us.
