How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before the transfer, I was living in a house Which was not in a good condition. Currently, i have been doing house maintenance and that is the biggest difference in my life that this transfer made it happen.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I was very thankful to be registered into this program. Receiving this transfer meant everything to me. Give Directly had done very well in empowering us financially, and Also to spend according to our needs.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have bought cement, doors , door and window Frames. I am doing house maintenance to the house that Iam currently staying. The house was in a poor condition, and the transfers have helped alot.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money means lessening if ths struggles we go through to find some money and buy needed necessities at home other than food especially in this harvesting season. I am also looking forward to buy livestock which will act as a long term investment since goats are easy to take care of. This will make me worry less about the future of my children who are about to finish primary school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Happiest part of my day is usually in the evening with my children. This time I get to learn how the day went, what were the interesting things they met at school among other things. All this happens when am with my children and am always joyful.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
It's been several years since I divorced from my husband. He left me with three children and two of them are about to finish primary school. The biggest hardship that am yet to face is the source of fees once they get selected to a secondary school. Since money is hard to come by in this village, I am anxious if they will finish their education.
