How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, the one thing that kept dragging me behind and giving me a lot of stress is now behind me. I was able to finish the construction of my three-bedroomed house. The remaining bit is attainable.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, I think GD has really made the lives of many in the village to improve. School going children have increased in number and small business are seen coming up. This is a sign of empowerment.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
Upon receiving the second transfer, I embarked on house construction that I had left pending after resources got depleted. I bought doors, windows, and iron sheets to ensure the construction was completed. I also build a cow shed for my cows to keep them safe from harsh weather conditions. I also bought a new cupboard for my utensils.
