What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second cash transfer to purchase construction materials that completed my three roomed house. The balance of the cash transfer was spent on purchasing food.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well when it helps the needy through sending them direct cash transfers. They also sensitized the community very well. More so they send people the exact money that they promised them without any conditions attached to it. GiveDirectly has only done good things for us.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is so peaceful because I was able to construct a nice house. I was able to stock food for my family. In the past, I used to live in a dilapidated grass thatched house. I remember, we used to fight and with rodents for space in my hut. I am very happy that I do not have to worry about rodents and the need to buy grass for thatching my house. In addition to this, the cash transfers made it possible for me to treat myself and my children. The GiveDirectly cash transfers have made my life peaceful and worth living.

The biggest difference in my daily is that I wake up happy because I am sure of having a nice meal. My children are healthy because I can afford to buy a variety of food to feed them. More so I am happy because I have also constructed an iron roofed house with the cash transfer.
