Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Alongside the savings I had been making towards the purchase of the two goats, I have also been working hard towards establishing income-generating projects towards payment of school fees which is expected to be more comes January when my lastborn son will be joining secondary school. This to me is an additional goal and would wish to ensure that I accumulate enough money both from the subsistence farming, small business I have been running and also livestock farming which I have just started.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Having been receiving the transfers for quite sometimes now, I have witnessed a lot of changes in my daily life. I have worked over countable milestones now and I really thank God that they've all been successful. In the last four months, the biggest difference in my daily life is the purchasing of two goats each worth 3500 KES. I have been working on this project for a long time through a moderate savings plan every month. It was my set target to ensure that I achieve it before the transfers come to an end. I am really grateful that the dream has come to pass.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to see my lastborn son settled in school having cleared all the first term's school fees. I am really motivated towards this given that he is the lastborn son in our household and also considering the fact that all other children in our household never took the education that serious.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is different from how it was before Give Directly came into my life. I was able to add more assets and boosted my business. I used to have only one sheep, I managed to add another one on top of one that I had previously. I also practice poultry farming and I had a few chicken before Give Directly came. When I got this money I decided to add more and I expect that this will increase my revenue in the future. I want to focus on farming because I have a few skills on how to handle these animals. I also like them because they always come in handy when faced with an emergency. I thank Give Directly for boosting me with the monthly transfers as this means I will grow my income faster than if I wasn't a beneficiary.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to put up a bigger house for my family. The one that I currently live in at the moment is small for my growing family. My kids are fast approaching their teenage years and having them sleep in the same room with us is very inconveniencing. I feel lucky because I have the means to put up the new structure. I had thought of talking to my neighbor to accommodate my kids as I still figure out how I would build a new house. Am glad that I will not have to bother them since Give Directly has given me enough support to ensure I build the house without taking loans or over straining myself with casual jobs.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life ever since I started receiving transfers is that I am always happy and confident to face life. Since I no longer go without food and other basic commodities I am always eager to face each day. Before, It was sometimes difficult to get money to buy food since I did not have a consistent source of income. The casual jobs that we do are irregular and unpredictable. One would never have the courage to face the next day. Life was complicated and miserable. I am really happy I am one of the beneficiaries of Give Directly.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My prayer in the next few months is to buy more sheep. I want to increase their number because they are always cheap but once they mature and get healthier their prices will become double. I have the means to feed them and ensure they get to the size I want. I also have the necessary equipment and skills to ensure this business doesn't fail any time soon. It is my biggest investment that will enable me to pay children's school fees and achieve other bigger goals that I wouldn't have achieved by depending on casual jobs alone. I want to be financially stable and this is the surest way of being so.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different in that I no longer stress myself on what I can do to get enough money to pay school fees for children and get enough money for food and other household needs. One of my children has just successfully completed his secondary education while the others are pursuing their studies well.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
The next four months shall be devoted into accumulating more funds that will enable me pay school fees in time. I do not want to foresee a situation where my child shall be sent home for school fees again like it happened before. Nothing makes me happier than to see my children getting all that they want in their education. I know that this is a step towards securing their future and mine too. I also plan to save more money to enable me buy a dairy cow in future.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to pay school fees with very little difficulty unlike before. Life for us was difficult in the past in that we had to struggle to get enough money to pay school fees and buy food for the family. With GiveDirectly transfers, I was able to save enough money that allowed me to pay school fees in time and at the same time afford to buy food and other household needs without having to strain like I used to do before. This has made me happy and my family is a proud one too. I also have more assets that I did not have before. I have bought goats that I am sure shall help me in the future to meet any family needs without any difficulty.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to be able to accumulate more funds in time to pay school fees for my children. Top on my priority list of things that I want to do is to give the best education to my children. I also have plans of buying more goats that I can resale later to get enough money to buy a dairy cow.
