Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to aim higher and get to my goal of replacing my grassed thatched roof into an iron sheet one. This means I intend to be discipline with the finances I get from GiveDirectly through buying the required building materials on a monthly basis.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Previously, I have been living in a one-room house that served as a kitchen, living, and bedroom to my family. Today, I have a different story to tell because the biggest difference in my daily life for the last four months is that I have successfully built a kitchen that I have ever dreamt of. This has been enhanced by buying building materials which included iron sheets, nails, timber and paid laborers to build it using the transfers that were sent.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I shall have fixed an iron sheet roof and replace the grassed that one by buying building materials every month with the sent transfer. This is because at the moment the leaky grass-thatched roof of my house is in a deplorable condition which has made it risky for our habitation.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
The difference is that I am assured of an income every end month hence I can borrow money and be certain to pay it back. This has increased my confidence in doing projects like the one for farming cause I am sure if it fails I have a soft landing ground thanks to GD. Before, I could not borrow not knowing when and how to pay back. People were reluctant in helping afraid of creating bad debts.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to plaster the floor of my kitchen that doubles up as my children's bedroom. This will reduce the dust that accumulates on the unplastered floor and even make cleaning easier.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference is that I was able to join the 1-acre fund. This is a program that issues farm inputs at a loan payable at a later date and has no collateral. With the inputs i.e. fertilizer, seeds, and other farm tools, I have been able to improve my farming which in return has produced a bumper harvest as compared to before. I was not able to join the 1-acre fund because I was not sure of how I would raise the money to pay back the loan. GD gave me the assurance through the transfers that is when I joined confidently.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months God willing, I will have plastered the kitchen flour and will be planning on how to plaster the walls of my house to make it look more beautiful.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it was four months ago in that I was able to pay school fees for my son. I normally strain my self by doing several casual jobs a day in order to save something to pay for his school fees. Even after working this hard its usually not enough and they end up sending him home. It is very frustrating to see him being sent home. I am glad this time I won't have to overwork my self because I managed to pay his school fees using the transfers sent to me by Give Directly.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My next goal is to plant trees. I chose to do this project because very few people see the value of having them. The rate at which we are cutting them down is a clear warning that a few years from now we will have depleted some of our forests and the demand for trees will be very high.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life in the last four months is that I was able to pay school fees for my son. My son is very hard working and always performs well despite being sent home due to school fees arrears. I always felt like I was letting him down because he would miss lessons and was forced to strain himself in order to catch up with his classmates.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months since I will have started the tree plantation project. This is a future investment for my family. I like this idea because the kind of species I grew to take time to grow but grows back again even after they have been cut. This will be my small contribution to the conservation of the environment and also earn a living by selling them. This will help me live peacefully knowing my grandchildren's' future is covered

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I recently built a small structure that I will use to keep chicken and sheep for future benefits. I have a plan of buying a few birds which I am sure will lay eggs in the unforeseeable future and the population will increase significantly from time to time which will mean that I will have a stable income generating activity even if the transfers are stopped.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a new goal which is to buy a sheep that I will keep for future financial benefit. Once the sheep matures it will eventually give birth into the future and out of that, I will be able to sell them out and make some cash which I will use to offset my finances.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
For me I have been able to get money every month from the organization and out of the cash that I have been getting, I made an effort of saving part of it which has so far assisted me in paying school fees for my children promptly unlike how I used to struggle with their fee payment in the past. Apart from that, I have been doing small scale business with the transfers that I have been getting every month and so far I think the business has been doing so well.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to save enough cash so that I can be able to build a new house for my son who is really growing so fast and I do not think it is appropriate for him to sleep in the kitchen structure anymore. Building the structure is not an easy thing to achieve but I know that with proper planning and discipline in terms of savings, I will be able to achieve it.
