What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for paying mortgage of 700,000ugx for one acre of land, i rented another one acre at 100,000ugx (one year rent), i bought two calves at 300,000ugx each and i have put aside the balance for food.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my pinion, Give Directly did well to give me money which has enabled me to acquire many things. They also did well to give me a phone which has made communication easy.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than if i never received the money because i have been able to marry a wife, i have also acquired land which i will cultivate when it rains.

I spent the first transfer to buy cows as dowry payment for marrying my wife.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i recieved my money, i felt so happy because it was going to help me marry my wife.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that am now settled with my wife. Before, colleagues used to mock me that i don't have capacity to pay dowry for my wife, and my in-laws used tell her to return till i pay dowry.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i am facing in my life is inadequacy of land for cultivation - so this forces me to hire land to farm.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when i have time to chart with my wife, the fact that we do not have any disagreements.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money is meant to help especially for buying missing things like buying food, hiring a piece of land for farming, buying livestock.
