How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed in that, I have improved my house by cementing the floor and fixing the proper door and windows. Previously, due to the pressing the needs I had of paying my children's tuition, I wasn't able to save up any money to better my house. In addition, I paid my children's tuition with this transfer unlike in the past when struggled to raise the money.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
According to me, GiveDirectly has done well by giving me the transfer that offloaded a lot of pressing needs such as tuition and accommodation. There is nothing bad that GiveDirectly has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have spent my second transfer to buy a sewing machine for my child who is doing a tailoring course. I still have a balance that I plan to use for buying an ox.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My daily life is different now because I'm so grateful for GD transfer in that I managed to plaster, install Windows and a door in my house. I also managed to top up some money from the transfer to complete the purchase of a motorcycle which generates daily income between ugx 10000 to 15000. It's Through this transfer I managed to buy scholarstic materials for my children and the remaining money I will use it for taking them to school next term.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was around midnight when my phone rung unfortunately I did not know how to check account balance. I slept back but after a few minutes I heard people ululating and celebrating upon receipt of transfers. I came out and asked one of my children to check whether I have also received and he told me that GD sent money. At that point in time, I danced, ululated and jubilated because I did not expect money at that time.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent part of my transfer on purchasing a motorcycle which I had saved money for. So when I got this money I toped up and bought it. I used some money to plaster and install door and Windows in my house which had finished 3 years incomolete. In addition to that, I spent some money to buy school requirements like cases, mattress and blanket. I also spent some money on acquiring household items like utensils and saved some money for taking back children to school next term.
