What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means completing payment of bride price for my spouse. I have paid part of it but there is some balance left. Completing this payment will earn me respect from my in laws and the neighbours. In my community, the boy's family is expected to pay bride price as a means of appreciating the girl's parents for the proper nurturing of their daughter.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when I have finished my day's work, had a meal and now reluxing with my family members while sharing the day's challenges.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face is pressure from my wife's parents over completion of bride price. I do not have a reliable source which gives me sleepless nights because they are near and they keep on asking for it every now and then.
