Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Before receiving this transfer, my house was very dusty and the termites used to destroy household items even the two wooden doors had been eaten up because the house was not cemented. After getting my first transfer, I bought construction materials that were used to plaster the wall and cement the floor that the termites can't penetrate easily which has saved my household Items from demage. I have also managed to replace the wooden doors and windows I had with the metallic ones that are durable.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I got a message from GiveDirectly indicating that I had received money on my mobile money account at around 6:00 AM, I was overwhelmed by joy because the money was to help me acquire material for renovating my house.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my transfer to purchase 4 windows, 2 doors, 25 bags of cement, 2 trips of sand, a trip of muram and paid labour for renovating my house. In addition, I bought clothes for my spouse and children.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving means that I will be in position to varnish my house well. I currently stay in a iron-roofed house that lack doors and needs serious renovation. Iam disturb a lot by termites because they eat the doors and it's costly to repair. I will sleep in adescent house and also be able to save money spent on repairing the doors for providing basic needs to my family members.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest moments is always evening hours. I feel much energized as a man when my spouse has completed home work.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is my girl is sickly. My daughter loses a lot of blood and it's becoming costly to treat. Iam even failling to manage some costs like paying school fees for my other children.
