How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is now different because i have managed to build a new house with iron sheets and paid school fees for my daughter who is at boarding school
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion Givedirectly has done well on coming up with such a life transforming project that has seen alleviation of poverty among us poor people. There have been many humanitarian organisations aiming at building resilience but their outcomes are hard to be noticed while as for Givedirectly, change comes within a short time. Adding on that Givedirectly is empowering us to decide on what we need by giving us money other than other organisation who decide on themselves what we need, for example giving us food or farm inputs. When an organisation decides what beneficiaries need they may end up addressing their problems other than for the benefiting people hence it is difficult to see change. Therefore i applaude Givedirectly for being unique and accomodative. There was nothing wrong on my side

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was at my farm harvesting peas when I received the transaction ID message telling me I had received money from GD. I immediately stopped working and went home to go make plans for the money. I was ecstatic.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I am happier. I am less stressed on how I will afford my child's school fees. I am planning on building a house and so I am also busier with making plans for getting the bricks and everything else ready.
