How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Life was very miserable before Give Directly intervened to my situation. For example feeding was so difficult in my household i that some days we could go hungry whole day which has change because I can afford to buy food. Farming was difficult as well because I could not hire land and labor. my child could have died because I did not have money for treatment but thanks to Give Directly the child went through a successful operation. Transportation was a hustle too but I have manged to purchase a bicycle and more so household items and finally I managed to clear a debt that I had acquired.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly has done well to me because I have married my spouse. Secondly Give Directly has uplifted standards of living in my household's well being. I thought I was living in a dream but its true because I have received all my transfers as promised . GD field team sensitized community members about the transfers and the champagne. However, My prayer to GD is to help orphans who do not have both their parents even if they are below the age of eighteen years because that could be the only way they support themselves.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer as follows, I paid medical bills at Ugx 240000, bought a bicycle at Ugx 272000, seeds at Ugx 30000, household items at ugx 30000, Livestock at ugx 550000, Ploughing ugx 100000, Feeding ugx 20000 and Saved ugx 391000 for future use.
