What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for hiring a garden at 150,00ugx, i bought seeds of groundnuts, beans and maize at 84,000ugx, hoes and house hold items. I spent 50,000ugx on transport for going to visit my child at school. I saved 100,000ugx in a village saving and loans association. I have a balance of 700,000ugx which i intend to use for paying school fees.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly did well to give me money, it did well to follow us up after getting the transfer which encouraged us to spend the money well. Give Directly did not do well to stop giving us money, how i wish it was continous. Life would be good.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if i never received the money in that i own a phone and am able to use it. I now eat well and on time. Am proud because i managed to pay school fees for my children and they are in boarding section. I have a solar panel for light, my phone also has a torch, i feel more secure. I thank Give Directly so much.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced is lack of money to build a separate house for my children. Sharing a house with my children has affected my marriage. This is because my husband finds it difficult to make love with me since we share a house with our children. I have even gone to the extent of postponding our sexual affairs because of our children's interference.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when my children return back from school.seeing them return back safely makes me happy.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means building a separate iron roof house and paying boarding fees for my daughter who is in senior three class. My daughter walks to school for over six kilo meters everyday and cries of pain in her feet. This money will assist in paying for her boarding fees hence saving her from the burden and pain of walking every day.
