How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The biggest pain of a mother is when one can't be able to bear children. Previously I had a problem in my womb which needed medical attention and I was not able to access due to lack of finances. I must admit being the biggest trial I have faced in life as a woman. It costed me a lot including my marriage. I faced a lot of stigmatization from my in-laws who would abuse me and accuse of me of having aborted severally. They used to say nasty things that would hurt me. My mother in law lost respect for me to the extent of chasing me out of my matrimonial home and brought him another woman. He did not make any effort to support me and protect me from my in-laws' harassment and he did not oppose his mother's suggestion to be sent away. I lead a life of sadness and pain but what kept me going is the faith that one day my situation would change. It changed indeed after Give Directly came through. The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to get proper medical attention courtesy of GiveDirectly's, now I am expectant and this has brought a lot of happiness to me and my spouse. Thanks to GiveDirectly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by giving unconditional cash transfer which is 100% development oriented that has transformed the living standards of my society. I do not see what GiveDirectly does not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the larger part of my second transfer on buying three cows and once their population increases significantly in future. I am certain of enough supply of milk hence I won't have to be buying milk from my neighbours in the village and this money I shall save on buying food for my family members with ease. The remaining amount I spent on paying school fees for my child and three bags of maize for my family's consumption.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I bought a cow because I did not have any hence this caused my neighbour to laugh at me most of the time thanks to GiveDirectly.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I felt very happy and called my husband over the phone to inform him of the news. I immediately withdrew some few amounts to buy food because I was on my way to borrow my friend some amount so as to buy food. Thanks to GiveDirectly I only withdrew, bought food and went home.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I sent my mother part of the transfer which she used in building her house since the previous one got burnt. I also paid school fees for my children and sibling and bought sheep and a cow since I believe that when they increase in number I can get milk hence I will be in a position to sell some so as to get income. Part of the amount went on purchasing utensils and a mattress since I had an old one which was uncomfortable. The remaining amount went on purchasing clothes and shoes for the children and I since we had few ones which were old ones and food that we ate as a family.
