How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I would one day like to run a business that will help me with other household financial demands. It will depend on the capital I have and what's doing good then since some businesses are seasonal so I shall decide on what business then. This will help attain financial stability.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
There's nothing I can say, all the processes were clear and transparent and did not confuse me at all.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Majority of my transfers has gone to food and buying materials that are needed for house building. The plan is to build a house after the rains stop.

What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Receiving this money for me is a ticket out of poverty. Firstly, for me this will act as a business start up capital for me. I plan on venturing into livestock business, using the entire $982, whereby I will be buying, slaughtering and selling goats right here in my village. There's nobody doing that kind of business here so I believe I will be able to make profits as people will be buying from me. With these profits I am confident I will be able to alleviate my poverty even after the cash transfers are done. This I plan on implementing in a week's time after receiving the money from GD.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am generally pleased when I get pieceworks and get paid for I know that's how I get by on a day to day basis. I make about $1 a day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Currently I have two challenges only, thus, lack of food and proper housing. I currently have only a single bag of maize for food left which I feel will see me through until next year. When this bag is depleted I have no idea where or how I am to sustain myself in terms of food. Additionally, when it comes to housing, this structure doesn't satisfy me, even though I live alone in it. I wish I lived in a bigger house than this, a 3 roomed house would be nice. Due to financial constraints I am unable to attain this.
