How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My main goal is to build a house for my family, since the beginning of this program, it has been my goal to own a house, and I am doing everything possible to achieve this goal with my transfer, that Is why I don't have a new goal for now.

In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by being fair and truthful to us throughout the program, through their program, I can build my dream house without any stress. I don't know what the organization is not doing well because everything is fine with me.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very excited when I received my first transfer. This was exactly the opportunity I have longing for. Life had been very challenging for me as a single Mother. My baby and I had just been surviving on hand out from good neighbours. Even affording our rent had been a serious problem for me. With this transfer I believe that our life will change for the better.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Before I started receiving transfer from GiveDirectly, life had not been easy for me. Many days I cried myself to bed, especially when my rent was due and I had no way or no where to get money to pay. This brought so much sadness and embarrassment to me. However, with this transfer I am planning on using some of the money to buy a half lot of land to built my own house. Furthermore, I will use a portion to pay my rent. Since I started receiving transfers from GiveDirectly, I am now a happy person.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
With the stress of renting, especially when you don't have a stable income, my goal is to use a portion of my transfer to buy my own half plot of land in order to built at least a two bed room house for my kid and I. Furthermore, I will used some to pay my over dued rent. I am very much grateful to Give Directly for this great financial opportunity.
