How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am happy that the GiveDirectly cash transfers enabled me to construct an iron roofed house. I also paid off my old debts and I am now debt free. Previously, I had a lot of debts that I could not write off at once due to lack of money. However, the GiveDirectly cash transfers saved me from the debt burden.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well to send us cash transfers that have personally helped me to construct a house. On the other hand, I can not point out anything wrong with GiveDirectly or its staff.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second cash transfer to purchase iron sheets, bricks, nails, cement and iron rods. I also paid the builders with part of the cash transfers.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money is an opportunity for me to recover my land that I had hired out in order to marry for my son's wife, it's also a chance for me to buy some animals like cattle that I hope to multiple such that my income is increased.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is morning because it's a new day and it's the time we do our farm work together as a family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship is lack of enough land for farming and the long droghts that always hit hence affecting crop yields.
