How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Farming is the mainstay activity for my household. The ability to save money is a huge change because it means that I get money to invest in seeds, and hiring labour.AS a result, I currently farm better and more. In addition to this, I no longer work as a labourer hence time to work on my own farm. This has to translate into more income since my crop looks to be growing better than the previous ones.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to save and use it to start a grains business. I will be buying and selling maize in my village. In order to have a sustainable income beyond the end of the transfers, this is the only business that can be the best choice.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest biggest difference in my daily life is the source of income that I have setup from poultry farming. I have been using the money I received from GiveDirectly on buying chickens that are now laying eggs. They are also hatching more chicks that will strengthen the income source. I don't have to rely on my husband on everything especially the daily needs such as food items. I am happy to be able to rely on myself which is timely unlike when I have to ask and wait for long before he pays for the requested items. I am a happy mother now.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I will have more chickens and will have constructed a poultry house. This will be a really good source of income since I have the space required. I will have a grains business too! I hope to have started a maize selling business and this will be the best thing that I desire to have.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
The difference in my life as compared to four months ago is that I am less worried about what my children would eat as before. Sometimes before, we could sometimes have little food to eat and this would worry me so much. I am also not as tired as used to before because I only work some few hours and take a rest and then go and do my own activities.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to improve the size of my poultry project. Poultry does not require so much resources to resize it and besides, its returns from eggs and even selling them as meat is good.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daiIy life is that I do not overwork any longer like I used to before. The major source of income here in our locality is working on manual jobs. In order to earn enough for my family, I had to really work hard in order to meet the day's needs by earning enough money. This meant that at the end of the day, I will be too tired to even do anything different, but now concentrate on my own farm because I do not spend too much working on other peoples farms. Now I can develop my own farms.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect that in the next six months or so, I would have improved the lifestyle of our family, and that my children and whole family will have good clothes and nice food to eat. I also expect to be living in a better and a more comfortable house than the one we are currently living in. The house we are living in now is an old mud house and I know God will allow us build a better one and ensure we live like the rest of our neighbors.
