What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on fishing nets and other fishing equipment (25,000 KES), mattress and blanket (10,000 KES), 12 seat cushions(7,000 KES), a suitcase (3,000 KES), a woofer (7,000 KES).
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that these days my family owns a fishing boat and fishing nets, that my husband uses to carry out fishing activity that earns the family a minimum of 400 KES per day, and a maximum of 1,600 KES per day on good days, and from which we feed and dress. In addition, we manage to save 500 KES daily. This would not have happened without GD financial support. Formerly my husband did fishing for other people and earned a maximum of 200 KES and a minimum of 50 KES per day, and it was not uncommon for him to come back home empty handed on some occasions. Thank you very much.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GD's transformation of lives in our village is very visible and this GD does well. There is nothing that GD does not do well, but maybe the amount of transfers sent out could be improved a little..

I spent the whole of the transfer to buy fishing boat and fishing net to allow me put food on the table and to avoid begging from the neighbours.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy maize for family consumption for 3000 KES, 1000 KES i spent to buy charcoal for fuel, 2000 KES i sent to my mum for shopping, 1000 KES i paid school fee and the remaining 2900 KES i spent on house shopping.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I would like to use part of the money to build a new house because my house is very small to accommodate my family. Secondly l would wish to use some money in paying my bride prize to appreciate my parents. Lastly l would like to open up a business to generate income to support my family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that we have struggled to build our own house though very small.
